Meet Alexa Tabbacchino:
Alexa Tabbacchino grew up in South Jersey chasing baseballs and swimming in the ocean — but it was the songs she was quietly writing in her bedroom that would define her. Now a self-made artist and producer, Tabbacchino has channeled over three years of lived experience into Evergreen, her debut EP out now. Equal parts confessional and cinematic, the project moves through grief, self-discovery, and the quiet chaos of your twenties — all wrapped in the kind of intimate, mellow songwriting that feels like it was made just for you.

Evergreen will take you through breakups, pivotal moments of self-discovery, honoring loved ones who have passed, romantic vignettes, and reminiscing on the simplicity of childhood."

Do you have any advice for other aspiring independent musicians?:
The time you spend worrying about what other people will think is the time you
could spend writing, recording, and performing.
● Putting yourself out there is the only way you will get further than where you are
now.
● Social media kills your brain in many ways, but it is a great way for independent
musicians to promote our work, and connect with other artists.
● Go to indie shows, introduce yourself to the performers, send a cold email to the
venue- you never know what might work out for you.
● It’s nice to be able to afford studio time, producers, engineers, etc. However, it’s
not the only way to get your music out there these days. A laptop, audio
interface, a couple cables, and a mic can take you a long way. I’d prefer to listen
to a phone voice memo of an incredible song than a professionally produced and
edited mediocre song. The art comes first.
● Don’t worry about what’s “in.” The more honest you are with your art, the more
authentic and unique your sound will be.
● AI is trash. Use your beautiful and creative brain.
