Why Robert Cassard chose "All You Need Is Love"
"I've always been a fan of John Lennon's universal message and clever wordplay in All You Need Is Love. The Beatles' original version has an underlying triplet rhythm. It feels like an old-fashioned waltz to me. I wondered how it would sound with a modern 4/4 groove. The moment I played it with a back-beat, I felt the SOUL of the song emerge. I was inspired to record a complex multi-track arrangement with interweaving lead vocal parts and 6-voice harmonies. After hearing and liking the fully produced version, the MIC Mag asked me to strip it down. And I like it just as much!" - Robert Cassard
