It's your Weekly Dose of Monday Motivation!
Every month, we ask our featured musicians: "What advice do you have for aspiring independent artists?"
We always receive such insightful responses, and this week we’re sharing them with you for a little motivation this Monday! Because, you know, Mondays.
Lupe Dragon

“Keep creating. Even if it's hard, even if you feel things get in the way of creating. If you need to create to function, don't let anything get in the way of that. Make things you would listen to and things you want to talk about, don't make music for likes and views.” - Lupe Dragon

Above The Moon

“It's very easy to get caught up in the competition of the music world, of who has more song plays, who has more monthly listeners, who brought the bigger crowd, who has the better time slot, etc. You have to regularly remind yourself why you're doing what you're doing, and hopefully, it's because you love it and have something to say. If you focus on that, you are rarely disappointed, and you'll be doing it for longer.” - Above The Moon

“Do it scared, do it even if you think it's not going to turn out well. You have to start somewhere. And once you get going, don't stop, even if you don't think you know what you're doing. Don't let anyone or anything get in the way of what you want out of your career as an artist. And above all else, have fun with it!”- Madhavi Devi
