Rooted in NJ, Suede Aces is a hard rock and blues band blending gritty soul, raw emotion, and powerful musicianship. Inspired by Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, and Aretha Franklin, the band delivers a sound that feels both classic and fresh.
The band's lead vocalist Lily Slix, alongside brothers Darrin and Tommy Bell built a reputation for Suede Aces to perform explosive live shows and have an authentic rock energy. Bassist Gareth “Gort” Odendaal and rhythm guitarist Jerry Reaves round out the lineup, adding depth and drive to the band’s evolving sound.
Since forming in 2021, Suede Aces has shared stages with rock legends including Steven Adler, Slaughter, and Rachel Bolan, performing at iconic venues like Starland Ballroom and The Stone Pony. Loud, honest, and unmistakably real, Suede Aces is carving their own path in modern rock.

LONG STORY SHORT: A self-titled album feels like the perfect choice for this project because every song reflects exactly who Suede Aces are as a band. Their hard rock and blues influences run through every track, with each song carefully placed to create a smooth but still energetic and engaging flow from the beginning of the album to the end. What really stands out is the rawness of the instruments and the thought behind every musical choice. Nothing feels overproduced or forced. Instead, the album feels and has a very gritty, soulful sound, which makes the album sound both fresh and timeless at the same time. More than anything, the record captures the band’s passion for performing live. You can almost picture these songs filling a stage and feeding off the crowd’s energy. It’s the kind of album that doesn’t just introduce the band; it shows exactly why they are built for the stage.
