LONG STORY SHORT: Ebb & Nova’s “Call Me Queen” starts with a killer guitar riff that repeats in variations throughout the song. It sounds like a chase, or more, a hunt, which blends perfectly with the lyrics in the song, creating a thrilling sensation as the queen chases you with lyrics, “You call me a witch / But I'm a queen / Watch 'em run / 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.” Suspense rises throughout the song, when we reach the end with lyrics “You call me a witch / But I'm your queen / Watch 'em run / 5, 4, 3, - YOU'RE DONE” changing the lyrics from “I’m a queen” to “I’m your queen” eluding to the power she now has over the one running away from her. “Call Me Queen” would fit perfectly in a chase scene from Scooby Doo as the crew reveals the witch to be a queen.
