"Black Magic Witches"
Songwriting, Composition, Performance, Production: Zack Smith Drums: Sean Connolly
Keys: Ben Smith
In the words of Zack the Ripper: "I like to write songs about weird, unfamiliar [and] uncomfortable situations because I think they make the most interesting stories."
LONG STORY SHORT: Zack Smith's "Black Magic Witches" is a song in which someone is lost in the woods at night and encounters a group of witches performing a ritual. The character of the story knows that his end is near, and accepts his fate. In his last moments, he spends his time partying with the witches. "Black Magic Witches" opens with a killer guitar riff and a heavy drum beat. The vocals have a reverb that blends perfectly with the guitar. You can really hear influences from Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper, and Led Zeppelin. Being a huge Ozzy fan myself, I could definitely hear the Ozzy Osbourne influence! This song would be a great addition to include on your Halloween Playlists, I know it's on mine!
