Special K’s are sonic chameleons, a studio-driven project built without genre constraints and fueled by pure creative exploration. Coast to coast, Karen Schwaid, Josh Lattanzi, and Wes Hutchinson come together to craft tunes that shift shape with every release. Since emerging in 2020, they’ve dropped an impressive 18 singles, each one a fearless dive into a new sound. Their catalog invites listeners to embrace the ever-changing and delightfully unpredictable nature of their music, and their latest track, “Talk To Me,” adds another vibrant layer to their evolving journey.
"Karen had a lyrical idea about finding solace in losing someone close to you, even after they are gone. She had the title Talk To Me. So Josh and I pulled out the acoustic guitars and started working on some chords and melody. We then, over the next few weeks, laid down the acoustic tracks, vocals, bass, vibraphone, and drums in the studio at Degraw Sound. Wes then took the final tracks and mixed the song. Karen and Josh signed off on the mix, and it was sent to Sun Room mastering to be mastered for release on all platforms." -Wes Hutchinson
