The MIC Mag's April 2026 Month Issue!

Dive into The MIC Mag's Monthly Issue, where you can see who we've featured and what we've had on repeat all month long!

Catch Me If You Can:

catch me if you can

Catch Me If You Can is the acoustic solo project of Ryan Hanratty, a storyteller at heart whose music has been a fixture of the Long Island, NYC, and New Jersey music scenes since 2012. Drawing inspiration from Frank Turner, Against Me!, and Third Eye Blind, Ryan crafts narrative-driven songs with an earnest, melodic edge rooted in a deep love of film and heartfelt songwriting. Ryan just released his first single in a few years, "Me Vs. The Lack of Context," and this Month, The MIC Mag celebrated Catch Me If You Can as our Musician of the Month! Mourning Coffee "Fight of Flight"

mourning coffee "fight or flight"

"It’s always nerve-racking meeting someone new in the beginning; passions are high, but there’s also the chance of being ghosted and forgotten. This song explores all these feelings, from the delusional and hopeful to the grounded and realistic. Even the idea of romanticizing the person before fully getting to know them, which almost always leads to disaster." - Christian Diana, Mourning Coffee

The Quivering Palm Perpetual Motion Vol. 2

tqp perpetual motion vol. 2

This EP serves as the second chapter in the trilogy of The Quivering Palm, where each song leads into the next, always in contrast motion without any stops. This album blurs the boundaries between separate products into a single project. In the end, all the music will form a cohesive 17-track album in one story. monday motivation

It's your Weekly Dose of Monday Motivation!

Every month, we ask our featured musicians: "What advice do you have for aspiring independent artists?"

We always receive such insightful responses, and this week we’re sharing them with you for a little motivation this Monday! Because, you know, Mondays.

stefani m.c. janelli nj voyager

We are SO excited that our founder, Stefani M.C. Janelli, has been featured in New Jersey Voyager! 🤘⚡️

Read all about her start in music, from listening to The Doors with her dad, to creating a college music blog, to building The MIC Music Group from the ground up. Read the article here!

why aren't artists chasing a record deal?

The music industry is shifting. More artists are choosing label services over major labels — and it's not hard to see why. Better royalty splits, creative control, and ownership of your masters. The old model of signing your life away is losing its appeal.

And The MIC MG is leading the way. We offer label services designed to put you in the driver's seat of your career. DM us today to learn more or grab a copy of our Label Services Guide and see exactly how we can help you move forward. ⚡️

the mic mg websites

When Cre8ive MC came to us, he needed more than just a pretty page; he needed a home base. Having your own website means you control your brand, your story, and how the industry finds you.

As a musician, your website is your most powerful tool. It's the one place you own (no algorithm, no platform rules). It's your press kit, your merch store, your booking contact, and your first impression, all in one.

Ready to have your own? DM us or email stef@themicmg.com 🤘
