The Weekend Lesbians:

Meet The Weekend Lesbians—a joyful, chaotic indie concoction born from a mix of seasoned scene veterans and fresh faces. Formed with pure intention and playful spirit, this Northern New Jersey outfit taught themselves their instruments just for the project, blending airy lightness with an unapologetically aggressive femininity. Their sets are a spirited mix of original sounds and offbeat covers guaranteed.
This Pride Month, The MIC Mag celebrated The Weekend Lesbians as our Musicians of the Month!

King of Cups "Watch The World Burn"
King of Cups isn’t just reviving the neon-soaked spirit of pop-punk—they’re reimagining it with a sharp edge and emotional depth. Helmed by the magnetic duo of Sugar Shaun and BryGuy, this genre-blending force delivers high-energy hooks, soaring harmonies, and punchy riffs that stick with you long after the first listen. As they build toward their upcoming EP Elemental, the fire burns brightest on their latest single "Watch The World Burn"—a fierce anthem that dares to dive headfirst into the chaos.

Roe Knows Best, MAUCH "Weekend at Mauchies...Vol.1"
"Writing these songs with Max was some of the most fun I've ever had in my life. During the songwriting and recording process, every morning we came in with a clean slate and allowed whatever was manifesting, manifest. There were no rules or desire to adhere to any particular genre, we were just motivated to write good songs. Usually, Max would start playing a guitar riff, and I would immediately catch a vibe and rhythm and start to build lyrical ideas based on that."

Rhonette Smith "Bent"
With my old music, I always felt like there was something missing, and it was too clean. I’ve been listening to screamo and metalcore music for most of my life, and this is the first time I’ve really felt like I’ve been able to incorporate those styles into my own music. I'm honestly floored that Steve was able to make my song sound as great as it is. It’s given me more confidence that I can pursue this style of music, and I’m so excited for what’s next."
